Bamboozle 2012

I’ve been going to the Bamboozle fest in Jersey for 4 years now and this year was the most disappointing year. Jon D. hyped up this bamboozle to be the best Bamboozle of all time because it was the 10 year and that there was going to be all this fun stuff to do more rides etc. I buy a 3 day pass with high expectations and bought my boyfriend 2 days for his birthday, since this would be his first bamboozle I figured let him go to the best one of them all. The band lineup at first seemed pretty effing amazing but slowly the band list just got worst and worst. I normally know basically everyone playing and have a super hard time making a set list for the days. But, this year I only saw a few bands because the set list was just filled with a bunch of unknown indie bands and wannabe white boy rappers. This year also introduced the Bamboozle Shuttle, since Asbury is small and the amount of people going there would not be enough parking. So the lovely people over at Bamboozle thought of making a shuttle for a extra $10 a day, which honestly it should have been included with the over price wristbands. So the shuttle parking with 20 minutes away from Asbury and was just a pain, Friday night we had no problem getting back we easily hopped on and went home. But, Saturday night we left at the same time and waited in line for 2 HOURS! before getting the shuttle back to Monmouth. Then I had saved up my Boozletwist points from the previous year and ended up redeeming a unlimited ride pass since there was suppose to be a lot and they were going to coast money this year. I get to the festival and see one Ferris Wheel and when I went to redeem the reward and see if I can possibly get something else they hand me a cut the line pass for the Ferris Wheel. When I get there the guy running the Farris Wheel gave me such a hard time about it and after 10 minutes of arguing he finally let me use my pass that was most deff not worth the 20,000 points I spent on it. The merch was ok this year I was pleased with the fact my favorite UK brand Drop Dead had a merch tent, but I was disappointed with the lack of band merch. I usually go for that mostly because it’s really expensive to order it online. The lack of signings for bands made me feel really disconnected from the bands I liked and I was really disappointed there were barely any signings. In the end I was very very very disappointed with Bamboozle 2012 and don’t think I will be returning next year if it’s in Asbury.
